Being a carer can take a toll on your health and well-being.  Surveys show that between 60-75% of carers suffer ill health as a direct result of their caring role. Carers can suffer from injury from lifting and carrying, from anxiety worrying about the person they care for and depression from being unable to have a normal  work or social life.
