Guideposts Carer Support Service
Guideposts provides a free confidential support service for carers. Here are some of the things we do:
- Provide information on services and practical help available to carers
- Publish a regular quarterly Newsletter to keep in touch and keep carers informed

- Facilitate Carer Support Groups so that carers feel less isolated and meet other carers for mutual support
- Offer one to one confidential support and a 24 hour helpline for emotional support during difficult times
- Provide an emergency card to carry for peace of mind
- Employ specialist staff for carers from Ethnic minorities, for carers of people with learning disabilities and parent carers
- Provide a drop-in information point at our Community Café in Nuneaton
- provide a drop-in information point at several GP Surgeries - check the Events for where and when
- provide a bring and share lunch meetings with Guest speakers
- forum meeting in each area / social outings
- Publish Fact Sheets covering almost every aspect of caring
- Maintain a website which is packed with information and links to other agencies.
"The Support that my family and I have received from Guideposts has made the caring responsibility easier to bear. I know that when things get too much I now have somewhere to turn for support and guidance." Rashida Suleman, who looks after her 73 year old Mother-in-law
