Guideposts and the Samaritans have teamed up to provide  a 24-hour helpline which will enable carers to talk to someone when they most need it especially during difficult times. 

The SAMARITANS is a nation-wide organisation which is well known for providing emotional support for people who are in crisis or who need someone to talk through difficult times.

There are two ways to access the Service.

• A Carer Support Worker can refer a carer and the service will call the carer back at a time which is suitable to the carer.
• During times of crisis, the carer can ring the service directly. 

The Service is completely confidential and the call will not appear on a telephone bill. The Service will support the carer for as long as necessary.  The Service is to provide emotional support only.  General enquiries and requests for practical help and advice should be directed to the main Guideposts office number or contact us here.
